We are seeking an experienced leader to guide our Analytics team as we develop cutting-edge solutions for the retail industry, driven by data, insights, and artificial intelligence. With a substantial investment in data initiatives and ambitious plans for the future, including leveraging AI/ML technologies, this is a pivotal role in shaping the organization's data strategy.
You will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for building and managing a state-of-the-art data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with BigQuery as its foundation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy to support the organization's growth.
* Transform data into actionable insights, elevating reporting and analysis capabilities.
* Facilitate the adoption of AI/ML technologies to maximize the potential of our data infrastructure.
* Collaborate closely with IT and business units to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and deliver solutions that drive value.
* Explore and integrate AI into business processes.
* Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and consultants.
* Adapt communication to engage with diverse teams and levels of expertise across the organization.
What We Are Looking For
* Extensive experience with data and analytics, preferably in retail or a related sector.
* Expertise in cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS, along with modern data tools like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
* Hands-on experience with AI/ML projects or a keen interest in applying these technologies.
* Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
* A strategic mindset coupled with a readiness to take a hands-on approach when needed.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in areas such as data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or AI.
* Demonstrated experience managing teams or leading technical projects.
* In-depth knowledge of data architecture and modern platform principles.
* Practical experience with cloud-based solutions like GCP, Azure, or AWS.
* A track record of using data-driven strategies to unlock business value.
